Introduction

Pharmacovigilance as an arm of patient care, is the science and the act of health care professionals undertaking various interventions relating to the detection, assessment, understanding and prevention of adverse effects or any other drug-related problem.

Pharmacovigilance knowledge and practice among HCPs directly affects the practice and reporting of adverse drug reaction in hospitals. This CME series is a case-based series dedicated to strengthen and improve the clinical knowledge and skills of primary care practitioners as they serve, support and deliver patient care to produce the best outcome of treatment with medicines, reducing the risks and ultimately preventing many adverse reactions that would occur in our health care system. The series includes lecture presentations with examples of clinical scenarios that cover an array of different topics.
